Had every intention of joining you for the run & staying somewhere overnight. It does sound excellent. Unfortunately daughter now requires bringing home from Uni on 27th. Sometimes our lives are not our own! Good luck with the event.

Great day out. People seemed to really enjoy it and have asked already when I'm organising another!
In the end we had 23 cars turn up. We had a excellent mix of marques ranging from a 1933 Austin 7 , Daimler Consorts Morgans, MG's;to more modern Jaguar XJ-S's. Landrovers, opels, hillmans, and loads of Moggy Minors, including a very popular Panda Car complete with blue light.
On the hottest day of the year, we set off after being warmly welcomed at Anglesey Abbey. A drive round the lovely villages of Suffolk and then out into the open fen. We stopped briefly at Moulton to view the sights and then onto Prickwillow Drainage Museum. After this we headed of for a BBq before heading back towards Cambridge and Milton Country Park. People sat in the sun expressing satifaction with the day before heading home to catch up on the football!
Anyway, already planning a run for next year as I learnt a lot and have loads of new ideas to enhance the whole experience.
One vehicle suffered a puncture and one or two wandered off the route, but all in all it was a really good day out. Maybe we could attract more Daimler members next year??
